Weight-loss: My First Update

Hey there. ^_^

It has now been 1 week since I made my first official post about my weight loss/fitness. Yup it’s been 1 whole week already, crazy huh? That means it’s a fantastic time for an update. 🙂 As of today, I now weigh 178lbs. That is 4lbs down from last week!

My current goal is to get to 170. I am only 8lbs away. I wanna try and reach that within 4 weeks. That means I need to loose 2 pounds a week. I think that is very do able.

To any of you just starting or thinking of starting. Here are some tips I would like to share(these are my opinions based on my experiences):

1)If you wanna start a weight loss/fitness journey then do so right now.
If you truly wanna start then why wait till’ tomorrow. Get in on it now that way you can guarantee that you do in fact start this thing. 🙂 Don’t be scared. It’s not like starting means you have to completely change your lifestyle right now. Not at all. This is totally something you can ease into and there is nothing wrong with that. This leads me to my second tip.

2)Don’t go on a diet/ change what you have been eating entirely
Your ultimate goal should be healthy eating. That doesn’t mean you need to make every change at once. You need to ease your body into it because it has probs been too use to eating junk food. If you change everything too fast then you are more likely to get frustrated and give up. To start things off try to make a couple of substitutions. If you wanna limit something then a good place to start is sugary drinks since you can always have water instead.

3)Don’t focus on “workouts”
Working out is a good way to loose weight. However, my recommendation is to not worry so much about “workouts” when you are just starting. Instead worry more about getting use to being more physically active. Walking is where your focus should be when you start. Once you get use to walking then you should practice walking up and down a set of stairs. If you are able to walk up and down a set of stairs for about 7-10mins then you are ready to start working out.

4)Your body is constantly giving you info. Listen to it!
You get thirsty when your body needs water right? So drink water. If you drink soda what will happen? Your thirst will go away but did your body get that water it needed? No so what will happen is your body might wait a little while but it is gonna tell you again that it needs water and you will get thirty. Sure you could give it more soda but if it needs water it will just keep bugging you until you give it some water. What ends up happening sometimes is that you don’t listen and you end up having drank a lot of soda and still drinking the water. You could have just drank the water to begin with and saved yourself the trouble.

Hunger works the same way. If you get hungry it’s because your body needs nutrients. If you eat junk food you will just get hungry again soon because you didn’t feed your body the nutrients it needed. Like with water if you just gave your body what it’s asking  you for, you could save yourself a lot of time and can help keep yourself from over eating.

So there you have it. These where tips I had to learn the hard way but hopefully you won’t. 😀 Feel free to share your experiences in the comments section below.

  1. Keep pushing your self I believe in you. I’m really big into fitness changed my studies tho. Wanted to be a personal trainer. But art is my true passion. I’m choosing to follow art instead of fitness.

Thankfully I have experience in the fitness and nutrition area, so it shouldn’t be that hard. You gave some pretty sound advice. I am cheering you on! You can do it!
