So BTS is pretty dope…

Finally making a BTS post today. Who is BTS you may ask. Well they just happen to be my all time favorite Korean boygroup! Been meaning to talk about them on this blog for awhile now but I was having some troubles deciding where to start. Lucky for me they have recently dropped two new MVs, giving me a perfect starting point to kick start the first of what is bound to be many BTS related posts. O.O

However, before I get to that I think I should share with you why it is I like them in the first place. The answer is quite simple really, their songs are catchy, have positive lyrics, and I like how they infuse cool choreography into them. Sure sometimes the choreography doesn’t make it into the MVs themselves but they are usually good on releasing a dance practice or dance version. And if not, well there is always their live performances that you can catch on youtube. Perfomances that are always really hype and have good production. I’m not kidding when I say they are one of the most well rounded Kpop groups out there. In fact they are so good that they have aloooooot of songs that I like. 😀

I don’t tend to follow specific groups all that much because I’m just not one of those fanboys that needs to know everything there is to know about a group’s members, BTS is an exception though. I have a tremendous amount of respect for their work ethic and level of talent. They also just seem so fun to be around because all the stuff they pop into has a high energy to it. Makes clicking from one video to the next very easy. 😛

So far they have not let me down once. I have liked all their songs, even the slower ones. I am not into slower songs often but they captivate such emotion that I can’t not like them. In particular Butterfly and Save Me are among my top faves. How they manage to put out such emotional love ballads one minute and turnt up songs like Fire the next is beyond me. Specially with the level of quality that they do.

Now they have released 2 new MVs. One energetic and the other a bit more towards the mellow side, showcasing the different ways they can take their music. I tend to listen to harder more energetic stuff on my day to day so the song Not Today may be my bigger standout. With that said I really like the imagery in Spring Day, truly killer cinematography.

Here are the MVs, make sure to turn captions on to get the lyrics.

Spring Day

Not Today

So what did you think of these songs? Let me know 🙂

  1. This song is fire! I’m not a BTS fan (not that I don’t like them, but they’ve never been on my radar), but I listen to this song at least twice a day. It gets me amped up to go adult. lol

  3. As to others of many that are highly interested in K-Pop, BTS are one the finest groups around.

BTS, EXO, and GOT7 are the three top K-Pop groups I would insure to listen firstly for introduction.
