From Left to Right: J-hope, V, Suga, Jin, Jungkook, Jimin, and Rap Monster
It’s crazy to think that just a few years ago I was out there trying to get people to notice this new rookie group known as BTS. Why? That’s because things have really changed since then. They have managed to turn themselves into a force to be reckoned with. By climbing their way to the top, little by little through their hard work and perseverance. They have set records, topped Eastern charts, and of course won a place in my heart as my favorite Kpop group of all time. 😛
So for today’s post I thought I would give you guys/gals some pretty good reasons why you should check them out and jump on the BTS bandwagon. So here we go:
1) Dance Choreography
These guys are on point with their moves. When people are scared that they wont be able to relate to the group because of the whole language barrier thing I like to mention that they can really dance. I feel it tends to peek people’s interest and makes them more willing to check out an MV. I think this happens because dance is something more easily relatable, especially since no words need to be spoken. Added to that the fact that some of their choreo can be really demanding, specially for a group that sings too. It’s something I think naturally garners lot ofrespect.
2)They Spread Positivity and tackle important subjects:
A common thread among many current BTS fans is that they love their positive lyrics. When you are feeling down and out their is bound to be a song of theirs that can comfort you. For the non Korean speakers you get the added bonus that they tend to put English captions in there videos. That way you don’t have to go out of your way to look for the translated lyrics somewhere else.
In addition to that, this group is very much involved in the song making process, adding there own artistry. They go off on a variety of topics they themselves deem important. For example, they have tackled things like bullying and rejecting society’s expectations of you. They also have made songs about things like female empowerment. They are very diverse in that way.
3)Have A diverse Sound:
BTS is primarily a hip hop and R&B group. However, they can and have produced different types of songs. They can range from turnt up songs to soft/slower love ballads. I’m normally not into the slower type songs but this group has got me hooked onto many of theirs, it’s cray cray how that has happened. In particular I like the song Save Me, it really tickles my heartstrings. 🙂 haha It’s so simply shot, all of it takes place in one location yet it evokes a lot of emotion from me. The dancing is top notch and the chorus is something everyone can repeat. 😀
4) Hard Work/Determination
Lastly, I wanna mention just how hard they work. This group has put countless hours to get to where they are currently at. They didn’t win the Kpop lottery. You can see that in countless of videos that are circulating online where they look so tired and worn out. They put so much passion into it and I think it shows. Hopefully you have clicked play on some of these videos and seen for yourself their level of talent. All that stuff took years of hard work as trainees. Especially since some members where terrible at things like dance *coughs* Rap Mon… haha Anyways these members worked hard to overcome their deficiencies and I think have come a long way to the point where it might be easy to take for granted.
Well that’s it for this post. Tell me if you will be giving this group a chance in the comments. Or maybe they have already consumed your life and we can both fanboy/fangirl together. 😉 I’m not gonna lie I will probs be making more BTS posts in the future. lol
Thanks for reading. Till’ next time beautiful peeps of the interwebs.
p.s. lets end it on a fun note:
I really like this group too. I found them a couple years ago by luck!

A little more than a week ago I listened to a few of their songs and I’m hooked, I became a total BTS fangirl. I love their songs, how they are full of energy and feelings. Their coreographies are so well put together and the way they dance, wow, I wish I could do that too. 😀 I’m so glad that I got to know their songs. And yeah, the members are hot too. 😀

The last video is sooo funny, I cried with laughter : )) When I thought Jungkook can’t get any cuter, they put him in a bunny costume.

Even in the funny dance practices you can see their talent shine through. 🙂 They somehow still manage to make the moves feel dynamic in those costumes. Haha

I didn’t like their music at first so I started with EXO. Once I got used to k pop tho BTS has taken their place as the most played in my playlist.

Exo is pretty cool too. I still remember listening to Mama for the first time when that screamo part started. I was really taken aback by that. 😛 lol

I’ve watched that 21st Century Girl costume practice so many times before. I love it especially because V is my favorite, and he’s wearing a costume from my favorite anime, Cardcaptor Sakura. 😀

I have seen that anime before. I think I heard somewhere that they are bringing it back. Dont know if its true though. @_@

I totally agree! Up until last year I hadn’t even known of their existence. They’ve definitely grown tremendously in terms of popularity! Their choreography made me want to take up dancing as well. It’s so good, and seems so effortless when they implement it. I was also able to relate to a lot of their lyrics like NO and No More Dream and I enjoy their music in general. They are a full package! Like they say once you Jim-in you can’t jim-out.
Plus they are so humble and hard working! Their personalities are gold. I’m so happy to see their hardworking finally paying off.
Thank you for this post! I agree with everything you wrote here. 😊

more bts posts = YES PLS. I (very) quickly fell for them after BST and I love/respect/admire them SO much. Yes I did (and still do) fangirl over them, but I actually feel a great sense of respect towards them for everything they do (covered in your post) – in their Bangtan bombs, they always look so tired and yet they work tirelessly, on top of which their quality is top notch. As artists, and as an artist myself, their work is really admirable.

I like how through all the hard work they remain positive and have dumb fun. 😛 My favorite was the one where Jimin and V where using the Beat app to annoy to other members who were clearly tired and trying to sleep. I found that video so funny. lol

I think the one for I Need U is the best. I dont think its the hardest but I think its the one that goes the best with the song. ^_^

That’s also a good one. My favorite is probably the coreography for Blood Sweat & Tears.

I do love their music! Is it possible to be both an EXO fan and a BTS fan? haha! I tried to get tickets to their US show this spring, but they were way over my budget! I’m sure it’s a knockout show for that price!

Some people might want to make you pick between the two but not me. I think if you like both then you should definitely be a fan of both. lol oh and yeah I noticed the ticket prices too. Looks like I need to start saving right now if I wanna have any chance of seeing them within the next 5 years. haha
