Drawing Challenge Reboot >.<

Hey peeps! Today I’m announcing  the official reboot of my drawing challenge! Yippie! Don’t know if anybody out there will care but I’m feeling pretty good about it. 😛 So what this means is that I will start drawing daily and have an occasional post where I will hopefully show off progress I’ve made. I tried this before but it was a big failure on my part because I did not keep up with it. >.<” This time I will make sure to stick with it, been reading some manga lately and it’s got me motivated!

Now I am by  NO means an artist. I’m just a guy who started doing scribbles here and there towards the end of my High school years. I liked anime and manga so I gravitated towards that style. I would find random pics online and try to recreate them the best that I could, doing that I got better little by little. Looking back I wish I would have taken a formal art class but I didn’t. ðŸ˜¦ It simply remained an on/off hobby for me.

However, I have been looking to take it more serious now! I would love to learn proper techniques instead of the purely trial and error style I have adopted. First thing I’m probably gonna need to work on will be to unlearn a lot of bad habits that I’ve picked up over the years. >_<  But hey, whatever it takes right? 😀

I’m not looking to start any artistic career or anything like that but I would love to one day make a webtoon or manga. That’s like end goal stuff but I have a loooooong ways to go before I can even begin to take something like that serious. haha In the meantime hopefully you will be interested to follow me on my journey. 🙂

Here is something so that you guys can get a sense of my starting point. I will be using this to gauge my progress. Well that’s all for today. Thanks for taking the time to check out my post.

  1. I’ll have to get back to you when I find it but there was a video where a guy bet his bro 1K if he couldn’t get so many likes on this popular art site where you have to be really good to even get a like. He had a month as the deadline and he won! He did what you did-challenged himself to draw everyday and he made considerable practice. Good luck and I can’t wait to see how far you go!^^

  2. This is a very nice drawing, I too had been into anime and also medieval fantasy when I started to really draw in highschool. I found that staring from copying drawings is one of the best ways to learn and soon you can create new interesting drawings all by yourself and inspiration can come from anywhere, therefore the more you draw the better you get over time so practice definitely makes perfect. Some things that also helped me and might help you are some how to draw books or for your case maybe a anime/manga how to draw book if your serious enough about it. I hope this has been a little helpful, good luck and keep drawing.
