Music Discovery: TeddyLoid & Chanmina

**I made a terrible mistake guys. I just checked out this music video again and now I can’t get the song out of my head. 😅😭 I’ve replayed it countless of times and there is no sign of slowing down. lol Wanted to make a  post to share these feelings but I remembered I had already made one before. Since I have more followers now than I did then it seemed like a better idea to re-share this one. Maybe some of you new peeps will enjoy it. For those who did check it out the first time, I’m sorry for putting this on your feed again. Please forgive me. 😗😇**

TeddyLoid and Chanmina…oh how I am so excited to have discovered you. I am not in the know when it comes to Japanese music. I have heard a song from there every now and again, never have I heard something quite like this though. This shit is straight up rancid and dirtay<—not dirty but dir-TAY. lol The song is a combination of Dubstep and Japanese Rap, two things I never thought I would need to see mixed together. That has quickly changed after listening to this song. I don’t know if I could ever go back and I seriously need more of it now. @_@

This song goes hard and Parental Advisory is required. The two artists involved are TeddyLoid and Chanmina as I mention up on top. TeddyLoid is the guy who was behind the music for the MV Me!Me!Me!. It was one that went viral so you may be familiar with it. Even the finebros did a YouTuber’s react to it. The dude comes up with some amazing and diverse beats. If you somehow missed it until now then I recommend you go look for it when you have some free time because it’s pretty dope. As for Chanmina, she is a biracial Rapper. She is half Korean and Half Japanese. I kinda see some hints of Hyuna in her. That could just be me who sees that though, I do have an overpowering love for Hyuna. 😛

With that said I think this song is messy but it works. The Dubstep goes hard and it’s matched by Chanmina’s really aggressive rap style. She cuts loose and goes ham with her bars. This kind of attitude infused music is right up my alley but I recognize that it may be for a really selective audience. For me I just love the rawness of it all. I mean at one point Chanmina’s rap devolves into straight up Screamo. It’s such a weird choice musically to do that, I feel like I gotta respect that ya know? O.O

I think this will end up being a good song to show people that Japan isn’t only all that Pop stuff that people have come to associate it with. Just like any other country, Japan has a diverse music scene. Certain things maybe “in” while others are “out,” but a lot of cool things can be found if you are simply willing to look. Hopefully in the near future I will find more stuff in line with this and be able to showcase for you guys.  I wanna help spread all those different sounds coming out of Japan right now. 😀

In the meantime feel free to check this MV. I’m so curious to find out what percentage of the people that follow my blog and view this song actually  like it. So please leave me with some of your thoughts. Was this something you would like to see more of in the future or did you think this was trash?
