Weightloss and Kpop


Hello there you beautiful beautiful people of the interwebs. I’m here again to give you all a little update on my weight loss, well kind off. It’s not really about my actual weight today. Instead I wanna talk about the newest addition to my routine. I have actually started to incorporate Kpop dance choreography into it. ^_^

To those who know me in real life this will come as quite the shock. Why? Because I must be one of the most uncoordinated people in the world. lol To call me a wet noodle when I dance would be the biggest understatement ever. If anything it would be an insult to all the wet noodles out there because… well I’m pretty sure if you just took one in your hand and wiggled it around it would have better rhythm than me.๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜† Sad but true. Haha Regardless I have decided to give it my all.

It all started a few weeks back when I was cruising through YouTube like I usually do. I was watching some dance covers on there and caught myself wishing I could do that kind of stuff too. I’ve always been amazed by people who can dance and you have even seen me praise Groups on here that have good choreography. But having never taken a dance class in my life and even going as far as saying it has been something I have avoided thus far, I thought it would be impossible to learn now. Even so I decided to give it a try because I thought, “hey even if you suck at least you could get some good cardio in.” Now that I have been at it for a short while I can say that it’s actually been a fun new way to work out and I am actually getting better at it. I guess trying your best even if you have no natural talent for something is the key to things after all. ๐Ÿ˜›

I had actually already been listening to some kpop during workouts since a ways back. I don’t know about you peeps but for me I find that music helps me get my energy levels up. It also makes the time go by faster which has kept me from getting bored a good many of times. Still I must admit that I have been having problems with this weight loss thing lately, that’s that things had been getting stale. I have been at this for almost a year after all so I guess things just hit that point were movements were getting too repetitive. The music alone wasn’t helping and ย even the variations on my workouts were a problem. That to me was probably what actually got me over to give this whole dancing thing a good try. And luckily for me it has been paying off for realz. I now realize how others and myself included have sometimes underestimated the workout you can get from it.

I’m actually gonna be checking my weight loss numbers on Monday but I feel like I definitely have shed another 2-3 pounds already. It will be interesting to see in the long run how much impact this new change will have. Also if you are curious as to what choreography it is that I am learning, it is the one for Dope by BTS. If you are familiar with it you might think that it is a hard one to start with and it is! @_@ Lot’s of footwork is required but I like BTS so much that I think it’s worth it. ๐Ÿ˜€ At the moment I’m picking it up through a couple of online dance tutorials. Welp that is pretty much it for this post. Who knows, maybe in the future when I don’t completely suck, I will post an update showing my dance skills. Don’t hold your breath for it though, I might me to embarrassed to ever put something like that up. lol What about you peeps? Any dancers out there following this blog?
