The American Media x BTS Part Deux

Ask and you shall receive…

Yass finally an interviewer with some journalistic integrity up in here! I can’t tell you how happy I was watching this. It’s 12:15a.m. and I was about to go to bed but before that I just had to check to see if any new BTS developments had dropped first. Boy am I glad I did since now when I go to bed, I can go being all extra happy! Cuz remember how yesterday I was kinda down on BTS not really getting any meaningful interviews, well that has changed big time thanks to this guy named Zach. Him all by his lonesome self has just put many respectable publications to shame because he was able to cover a lot of what we ARMYs have been asking for from the beginning. ๐Ÿ˜€

He touched onย BTS‘s socially conscientious lyrics and he actually brought up their collab withย UNICEF(Theย United Nations Children’s Fund) too. Making him the first person to do so which is just bonkers considering how many interviews they’ve had already. And you could really see the members faces light up when he did. Probs because they have been waiting so long for somebody to. However I think it was early on even before that that they were able to really get into it cuz right of the bat you could simply tell Zach put in the effort and did some actual research. Like I swear he must have noticed all of our previous complaints and been like, “don’t worry I got you fam.” He truly nailed it and I hope ARMYs pay him back by giving him the appreciation he deserves.

Going forward I say we share this to other news outlets so they can get the hint. Show them the bar has been raised. Also in addition show all these future interviewersย  how they should make more of an effort to let the members feel comfortable in responding in Korean. I say this because clearly as you can see in this video you can get some better responses out the members that way, and it looks like RM is totally ok with the role of translator. Although, hey if you CAN get a professional translator in there please do so. ๐Ÿ˜›

Anywho what are your thoughts on this interview? Did you like it like I did? Cuz I’m here hoping with my fingers crossed that their appearance on Ellen can go this good. ๐Ÿ™‚ Like seriously Ellen please don’t let me down and at the very least bring up the Love Myself campaign too. Clearly there is something here with these boys so we should stop treating them like some passing fad. Instead let’s use the opportunity to let others know that if they need something inspirational, motivational, and comforting in their lives… BTS and their music is here waiting for them. ๐Ÿ˜€

  1. Actually, I saw Zach ask ARMYs for help to land an interview with BTS and it worked. You can tell he paid attention to our complaints and probably had been keeping track on BTS himself. He even asked questions about N.O. The way he made those boys’ face light up when he asked about UNICEF campaign! Zach is my new favourite journalist now.

    • I saw it on his twitter today in the morning. It is cool how he took ARMYs imput and actually did some research. My mouth literally dropped when he said “studying machines” because I was like hey you know about N.O.! It’s a reall underrated song that has a really good message. ๐Ÿ˜€

  2. ARMYs used #ThankYouZach to thank him I’m just not sure if it trended but I wouldn’t be surprised if he receives flowers for the next days ahead ๐Ÿ˜‚ BTS brought a translator. Next time, it should be provided by the interviewers. Hahahaha

  3. I’m thrilled to see several interviewers have finally started asking these questions. I think it’s mostly thanks to ARMY letting them know on Twitter what they want to hear BTS asked. If someone even mentions they will be interviewing BTS, ARMY now quickly lets them know what to ask them, lol.

I too was getting tired of the same basic questions. I do agree with you though and think it should be balanced. There are definitely people, especially those who aren’t as familiar with BTS, who may be interested in some of the more basic stuff, but it should be balanced with at least a few of the more in depth questions ๐Ÿ™‚

    • One of the more fun ones I like was one on the red carper done by Keltie Knight from ET. At first I like like uh oh when she brought up that they weren’t with their girlfriends ๐Ÿ˜… However it turned out to be really fun and I think gave a fun insight into the members personalities. ๐Ÿ˜€

  4. You couldn’t have said it in better words, my man. *pat on the back* I truly enjoy all of their interviews. ๐Ÿ™‚ They are just so… real and genuine. It warms my heart. Also, their hotness is something just… inspirational. So that’s nice too.

The only thing I wanted to add, is that RM translates everything they say in interviews, and I think he’s proud of himself for speaking English so well and being the go-between. I honestly think he would feel bad if someone else was like “oh, i’m the professional translator, so you can just sit back”. Its my opinion. Plus… I just like watching him translate. It means he talks more. I think if he didn’t translate he’d talk a lot less, even if he’s the leader, because he would want the others to have some of the spotlight. In my opinion, I like it that he’s the center of the group, and the others are his wings. Its really nice. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Ok that’s a pretty good point. I think I mostly want a translator in there because I imagine it’s gotta be a lot of hard work and must be stressful doing it constantly. I imagine it would be nice at least once in awhile to get somebody up in there so he can relax. ๐Ÿ˜…

      • Yeah, he’d probably appreciate it, as long as they talk to him first and get it cleared away. I feel like it would suck if they didn’t even consider him, and just did it. You’re certainly nice for having his welfare to heart. ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. I loved Zach Sang’s interview. He nailed it. And I loved seeing BTS’ faces light up at all the great questions. One. After. Another. And I am so very proud of BTS for staying grounded, polite and respectful, throughout all the interviews (positive and not-so-positive ones). I am very happy for them. I’ll be posting that Zach interview soon and plugging here and there in social media. I want to help the process of making it viral as this guy’s hard work deserves attention.

    • This guy definitely deserves all the props in the world. ๐Ÿ™‚ The moment he mentioned “studying machines” I was like ๐Ÿ˜ฎ You know the song N.O. ! It’s one of those I think is criminally underrated.

  6. This has to be my favourite interview as well. He asked such good questions and really he highlighted why I love BTS, they tackle so many social issues that we are going through.
Also proud of the members, when they’re comfortable they open up more and you can see that here especially in Suga.

    • Yes I’m so glad to see ARMYs everywhere spreading this on twitter. The guy Zach definitely puts a lot of work into all of his interviews. Because of this I saw some of his other ones on YouTube he seems to always be able to touch on deeper subjects in a more fun and engaging manner. Hope to see this group get a longer interview with him in studio at some point!
