Superstar BTS Is Consuming Me πŸ˜…

Sorry for the lack of engagement these days my peeps. I know I’ve been slacking when it comes to commenting, replying, and liking all your guy’s posts, but here’s the thing. Lately I’ve had a totally super solid legit reason for doing so. You see I’ve been mad busy playing this little music rhythm game on my phone called SuperStar BTS. I think the majority of you have heard of it before.

344

If not, no worries it’s simple to explain. It’s one of those games where you tappity tap buttons as they scroll down the screen on your phone with your thumbs. Anyways it’s a game I’ve wanted to review since it was announced. But in order for me do that, it’s one where I felt like I really had to sink my teeth into it first. Yup so that’s totally why I’ve been playing it non stop, entirely for research purposes. πŸ˜› and with a surprising 41 playable songs, well I think you can see how time consuming it can get. More so if you have the itch to get 3/3 stars on each song like I do lol

But yeah I should have a full review up sometime Sunday or maybe Monday morning so that may be something to look forward to. Once I get it out I’m sure things will go back to normal for me and this blog. I could probs churn out the review sooner as in today or now even, but I really really wanna get to try out the “Hard” Mode on it at least one time. Cuz I’m not sure if it’s because I don’t really play rhythm games normally or play on the phone all that much to be frank, but the hard mode in this is actually really freaking hard. For me it is anyways. If any of you out there are playing this game already and find it easy then by all means don’t be greedy and share some of them tips with me. πŸ˜…

Seriously I’m such a noob at these kinds of games. You should of seen me struggle on easy mode when I first downloaded it. πŸ˜…πŸ˜† I must have looked hilarious because I was doing that thing you do that we all know doesn’t work. You know where you sway your whole body as if that is gonna somehow help you click faster. Yeah I was THAT thrash at the game. haha But worry not, because being a true gamer at heart that I am I have managed to power through and have now even managed to snag a 3 star rating or two on some of the songs in Normal Mode. Ah yes, finally! Slowly getting better at the whole hand-eye coordination I guess. πŸ‘πŸ˜ƒ

So yup just gotta keep at it another day or two to get into that hard mode rhythm then I can get my full thoughts out there. But a little spoiler beforehand, I think you peeps outta get this game. Don’t see how any BTS fan especially can pass it up. It literally makes listening to all your faves even better because now you will wanna get perfect scores on them. πŸ˜› It adds good repeat value to all these songs you’ve no doubt already heard a million times by now.

P.S. Some BTS related developments that have happened recently:

First, I wanna say I was dead wrong with predicting MIC DROP Remix Dropping into the 82nd spot on Billboard Hot 100 last week. Or in any of the 80s spots for that matter, because apparently it managed to NOT move at all. Instead it somehow stayed on the SAME spot coming in at 79th on it’s 8th consecutive week on the chart. Which at this point I’m gonna call it their lucky number. Because they keep snagging that same exact spot over and over. lolz

Also the boys where recently featured on Vogue(in article and video form)and getting tweeted at as a result by YouTube, Calvin Klein, and Panda Express even. πŸ˜† I recommend you check out the their article because it touched on a lot of things us ARMYs have been bringing up. For example, the odd ways BTS has been treated by media outlets in the West. Like how they’ve been getting asked mostly dumb questions so far.

And then of course I gotta bring up the fact that both BTS and Bang PD won BIG at the Seoul Music Awards this Year. Winning both for Best Producer and Artist of the Year respectively. Woot Woot for all! Nice to see the legend behind BTS getting increased recognition as well.

Which brings us to the last bomb that dropped! Listen to what Steve Aoki said in this interview:

WE GOT ORIGINAL MUSIC TO LOOK FORWARD TO BETWEEN BTS AND STEVE AOKI PEEPS!!! Such fantastic news. πŸ˜ƒI don’t think I can ended it any better way so on that note I’ll see you peeps in the future. Feel free to drop a comment in the meantime. I’ll do my best to get back at you at the quickest. 😊

  1. It’s not a surprise panda express mentioned them considering the fact that they always say their favorite food is panda express.
It’s sad they don’t get asked really good questions for their interviews when there is so much to ask. Like for example, questions related to their unicef campaign love myself.

And yes we are super excited about the original music wuth Steve aoki. Pdogg , one of their producers had put an instagram photo of them and other producers dining after a day of production. More than that, I am looking forward to the next part in the love yourself album. I hope it comes soon!

    • Yeah so many things to look forward to with BTS. These guys and their team really spoil us. And yeah about that Panda Express thing, I always see V especially out there promoting them. Haha who would ever expect a Gucci king to love Panda Express so much. πŸ˜› lol

Did you know that this month will be the last month that BTS will be accepting gifts from fans? From now on they accept only letters. Thing is they want to use everything fans give and are using them as well but sometimes some fans would be hurt seeing them wear a similiar gift given by another fan. So they came to this decision and announced it on their fan cafe.

      • I did read about that! I think their descision makes tons of sense. Nowadays they are so famous they must receive lots and lots of gifts daily. I imagine most of them go to waste. I think what fans should do is donate the gifts they wouldve given the boys to charity instead. I think the boys would love that even more. πŸ™‚

  2. Oh yeah, these kinds of games suck the life out of you πŸ™‚ mind you I haven’t played the bts one, but I’ve got the yg one and…once I start playing it, there is no stop, so I try to restrict myself as much as I can. Also on being damn hard. I feel the developers choose random songs to just screw with your head and make it extra difficult…even on easy mode.
And yes it’s so much fun to “play” your groups songs. Even though it sometimes made me almost cry in frustration when I couldn’t pass songs which I thought should be easy. I’m less of a swayer though and more of a head nodder, so much that my neck started hurting. Ah, now I wonder if I should get the bts one as well. Probably will. Hahaha. Looking forward to your full review!

    • This was my first time playing one of these Kpop rythm games and while hard mode has been fustrating me indeed, overall it has been a lot of fun. It makes me wanna go back to try other rythm games like it. πŸ™‚ I think what makes this specially good tho is that for me there hasn’t really been any BTS songs that felt like flops so I’ve had fun playing all the songs they have available. But a standout to play so far has to be cypher pt3. That beat is really fun to play.

I think you wont go wrong getting this game. The plus side is it’s free so what is there to loose in trying it out at least right. πŸ˜€

  3. “I’ve been playing it non-stop, entirely for research purposes” Yup, that is totally believable πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
Glad you are enjoying it so much. Keep having fun (and of course entirely for research purposesπŸ˜‚).

  4. I just discovered that RM did a collab with FallOut Boy, my favorite band, last year. Isn’t great when your favs work together? πŸ˜€ I’m looking forward to their work with Steve Aoki too.

  5. I haven’t tried SuperStar – I like those type of rhythm games but know I’ll get nothing done if I start with it! Another reason why I didn’t get into Outcast. πŸ™‚ I enjoyed the Vogue article and video quite a bit! The candid photos are stunning – not something I’ve seen often of them. I mean it is Vogue – they have stellar photographers. I laughed at Jin eyeing the pole in the middle of the party bus suspiciously. Isn’t it also know for hired strippers to use? LOL! I don’t know – I’ve never been in a party bus before but seeing as how it is used sometimes in movies. I remember that rude papparazzi crashing the shoot (though at the time I did not know it was with Vogue). I loved how the boys and BigHit team turned a negative into a positive. They have such great attitudes – true leadership skills right there! I also was amused when they said Jungkook is striking in person. I would think they all are! They looked like they had fun. And I loved how the article summed it up – “Perhaps the beauty lies on that basic level: just seven young boys, enjoying the ride.”

  6. Oh but I forgot to comment on one paragraph from the article:

“Take James Corden, for example, who drew some ire for pandering to fans. Worse still were those American interviewers who had done no research and asked often patronizing, uninformed questionsβ€”such as β€œDo you dance?” when they’re known for it. It has been tough for Army to watch wafer-thin interviews, conducted by people who barely know (and certainly don’t care) about their boys, only the attention they might bring; in many ways, they have been treated as an Asian novelty.”

I didn’t think Corden was that bad. And while I agree with most of the interviewer Vogue was dissing, it’s too bad no mention of Zach Sang as the only interviewer who seemed to care enough to do the right research was ignored. But alas, I suppose that would be competition for Vogue.

    • I thought the James Corden appearance was good too. Nothing wrong with pandering to the fans every once in awhile. As long as it can still feel natural in the moment and not insulting, which I do think James managed to pull off nicely. That whole encounter had many great highlights. πŸ™‚ and I agree Zach deserves more praise for raising the bar when it really needed it most.

For me my main takaway from the video tho was seeing them dancing in front of the staples center if only because I pass by there very often. Its on the way to my fave movie theater if your curious. πŸ˜›

      • That’s so cool the locations are so familiar to you. πŸ™‚ I will have to visit that Staples the next time I’m in LA! I go about once every year or two (usually on business).

  7. I was completely caught off guard by the Steve Aoki news! I’m super excited to see what else they have in store for us πŸ™‚ Not sure why I’m surprised these days though as it seems like anything is possible when it comes to BTS, lol
