Weight-Loss: Introduction

wp-1485684439589.jpg

I weighed myself today. Turns out I am now 182lbs. ๐Ÿ˜€ I don’t think I have ever brought it up in a post but I have been going on a fitness journey these last couple of months. When I started I was probs 240lbs maybe more! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ I didn’t check my weight at all until I had been at it for awhile. My first “official” weigh in was 224lbs. That means I have lost about 42-58lbs total. That’s cray cray. haha

I looked up one of those height and weight charts recently. Depending on whether one has a small, medium, or large frame one should weigh anywhere from 129-170lbs. That’s for someone who is 5’9 which I am. My new goal is to get in there somewhere. ๐Ÿ˜€

At the moment I am working out 5 days a week.Mondays is arms day. Tuesday is legs day. Wednesday is a rest day. Thursday I go for a run. Friday is abs. Saturday is a full body workout. Then Sunday I get a second rest day.

I am trying to eat healthier too but I have room for improvements. I am currently drinking only water. Have slowly phased soda and juice out. When it comes to my meals the goal has been to eat 1/3 proteins, 1/3 veggies(my biggest accomplishment is getting used to broccoli), 1/3 fruits and carbohydrates. Haven’t been eating fast food/junk food  as much and instead been cooking my meals.  Big thanks to youtube for teaching me how to cook.lol Oh and I’m not starving myself. I actually eat like 2,100 calories.

I have noticed that I feel way more energetic. I am stronger and faster than I have ever been. When I started I was lifting 10lb weights. Now I am lifting 25lb weights. My arms and legs actually look muscular. Unfortunately it seems like my tummy weight is the hardest for me to loose though. ๐Ÿ˜›

Going further I will be working on phasing out fast food completely. I will try to reduce snacks even more. Try to get use to some healthier alternatives. I will also be pushing myself to use 30lb weights.

Only have to lose 12lbs and I am in the range I should be. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m the closest I have ever been. Will keep you peeps updated from here on. Let me know if you are on a fitness journey of your own or have been. ^_^

  1. Go you! Keep sticking with it ๐Ÿ™‚. My wife and I gave up fast food years ago (except for Wendy’s fries… Ya need food in a pinch, right?). During one week moment after not eating McDonald’s for about a year, we stopped for breakfast sandwiches. Talk about wanting to puke! After going for a while, your taste buds change, cravings change, and your body realizes that the fast food is fake food. Stick with it! It just keeps getting better ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Well done! Keep going with it, just because the tummy fat isn’t budging; believe me it is, and when you notice it you’l’ be shocked and wonder where it has gone. My tip as someone who is on a weight loss journey – have a go at HIIT training, the afterburn is amazing!

  3. Great effort on all fronts! You can still have treats now and then, they will help to keep away sneaky binges, but your willpower is awesome! You’ll notice that if you have fast food after a long period of going without, it won’t taste very good anymore anyway which is a nice surprise. Or you might only be able to have 1 or 2 squares of chocolate as it will seem too sweet, when before you might have been able to eat a whole bar. Keep plodding along with the workouts too – other people will probably notice the differences before you do – and its always nice when they mention it ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Your doing so well!!! I have a problem with my weight since my B.M.I is over quite a bit than what is should be. I find it rather difficult to loose round my stomach too and I find it hard to stick to diets or just healthy eating in general XD I kinda gave up since I’ve put on weight rather than lost it, but this post has inspired me. So I’m going to give it another go. Thank you for the inspiration ๐Ÿ™‚
